Irit Dekel is one of those Israeli artists who have given Israeli silversmith art its excellent name by creating contemporary designs within a deeply traditional framework.

She is a graduate of the college of Art in Tel- Aviv and the Omanit school of Silvermith in Jaffa.
Her jewels and judaica vary from the affordably beautifull to exquisitely crafted silverwork that not everyone can afford, but most certainly gives joy to everyone who sees it.

In her judaica, she combines traditional Yemenite style silver filigree with contemporary, hand blown and often etched glass. Each piece is delicately crafted from 925 - sterling silver threads and executed with the artist personal attention to precision to detail and design. Her jewelry is a must-see.

Symmetry, traditional and favourite Israeli themes such as pomegranates and flowers, and a love of detail characterise her work.
